Life Line in Palmistry
The life line is one of the five main lines read in palmistry. It extends around the thumb. The life line is usually in an arc around the base of the thumb, starting between the index finger and thumb and ending near the wrist.
The length of the life line in palmistry has nothing to do with how long a person can live. It shows one’s health and physical vitality.
Like the reading of the other main lines in the palm (heart line, head line, money line and marriage line), the lifeline of the dominant hand (usually the right hand) is read as a priority in palmistry.
A long and clear lifeline with a large arc predicts fullness of vitality, vigor, good health and high resistance to disease.
What is a big arc? Imagine a straight line from the center of the middle finger to the wrist. If the arc of the life line reaches or crosses the middle-wrist-wrist line, it is a sign of great vitality and abundant energy.
Breaking of life line is not a good sign in terms of health. Breaks predict illness or accidents in a person’s lifetime. The length of the broken part reflects the duration and severity of the illness or accident.
Whether the life line is long or short, you can divide it into three parts.
The first segment, starting between the index finger and thumb, is of short age.
The second section refers to middle age.
The third section, closest to the wrist, represents old age or the latter part of a person’s life.
